Mr. Kazuyuki Tanaka, Honorary Senior Advisor, Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. (Former CEO and Chairman of the Board, Hitachi Chemical Company, Ltd.)

Biography:
Graduated from the Department of Polymer Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1977, and joined Hitachi Chemical Co.
Transferred to Hitachi Chemical DuPont Microsystems America in 2001, Executive Officer of Hitachi Chemical in 2005, President and Representative Director of Hitachi Media Electronics in 2006, Executive Vice President of Hitachi Chemical in 2008, He served as Representative Executive Officer and President from 2009 to 2016, and as Representative Director and Chairman of the Board from 2016 to 2020. He has also served as Honorary Advisor to the company (which changed its name to Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. in the same year) since 2020. He also served as a director of Hitachi, Ltd. from 2016 to 2018.
